Changes:

  • I think this is a good change but a monetarily costly change. I want to sell my game for $40-42MSRP. The three individual mats do not evoke an experience that warrants the price tag. I thought that shifting the game from three mats to one board would elevate player expectations and experience. After playtesting last night, thats exactly what happened. My COGS is much higher and I really need to push and sell 100 copies of the game in the crowd funder before I start seeing decent margins. It will be worth it in the long run.

  • Change clipboard to black border

  • Reduced color pallet to three primary colors (green, brown, black)

  • Reshaped how personal sawmill works, now there are two track you can invest in (cost and capacity)

  • I am going to launch the game at BGG Spring 2025 in May.

Questions:

  • Should trucks harvest squares instead of individual trees? That would incentivize tall trees.

  • Tree log discs should represent 1 Ton, one square should represent 1 acre?

  • Should mill costs be per truck or total haul?
