Acres is a game about controlling harvest lanes, leveraging long term investments, and planning fifteen years at a time. Acres is a game of simple rules but sharp decisions centered around the Lumber industry.
On the family tree farm, fences are rare, and land is shared… until it isn’t. When a cousin ‘accidentally’ harvests a few of your acres, tensions rise. Will you play nice, or will you claim what’s rightfully yours—by any means necessary?
Take on the role of a family tree farmer in the forests of Arkansas as you struggle for harvest profits in search of peace in your corner of the wood.
How to Play
Each turn, players draft actions from four key options:
• Growing Trees – Expand the forest by planting new trees.
• Thinning an Acre – Improve future harvests by clearing space.
• Harvesting a Tract – Collect wood and sell for profit.
• Going to Market – Invest in equipment, fences, and business expansions.
Though all players participate in each action, those who drafted it gain a unique bonus. Strategic investments—such as fences to block opponents, trucks to increase harvest capacity, and personal sawmills for better profits—can give players a competitive edge.
After two full rounds, the player with the most money wins!

Eligibility
This giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Acres, its affiliates, or House Rules Games are not eligible to win.

Entry Period
The giveaway begins on 7/30/25 and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time on [End Date]. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

Each participant may only enter once. Duplicate entries may result in disqualification.

Prize
One (1) winner will receive a $100 gift card to House Rules Games (Dallas, TX). The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If the winner cannot use the prize due to location or store policies, no substitute prize will be offered.

Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or around 8/14/25. The winner will be notified via Facebook comment reply and/or direct message. If the winner does not respond within 72 hours, an alternate winner may be selected.

General Conditions
